This weekend is extra special at Isfjorden Chalet. We welcomed our closest friends to celebrate not only Geoffrey’s birthday but also our housewarming in Isjorden Chalet!
Our friends arrived yesterday evening and to kick things off, we served up a warm tartiflette — a cheesy, comforting French classic that just so happens to be a favorite of our birthday boy, Geoffrey. With laughter, wine, and the smell of baked reblochon filling the chalet, it was the perfect way to start the weekend.
Today was a bit of classic fjord weather — steady rain. But it was well embraced. The morning was spent soaking in the outdoor jacuzzi, watching waterfalls on the mountainsides, hearing the birds, and then relaxing inside the cozy chalet. Being indoors with good company while the rain falls outside has its own kind of charm.
By the afternoon, the skies cleared just enough for a little adventure. We headed out to Kløvstien, a short and easy hike near Trollstigen. This walk is a peaceful escape — suitable for nearly everyone, and offering stunning views of cascading waterfalls and lush valley scenery. It’s the kind of trail that rewards you with a big experience in a short amount of time — perfect for families or anyone looking for a lighter excursion in nature.
